President Tharman Shanmugaratnam announced the SG Youth Plan on July 25 at the SG Youth Forum at Suntec City, targeting at least 500,000 young Singaporeans aged 15 to 35 over five years through more than 20 initiatives. The plan includes up to 30,000 job-tasting stints of half a day to a few weeks annually by 2030 — with more than 10,000 already available in 2026 — as well as $500 curiosity credits for non-academic interests, an Adulting 101 life-skills programme, and S$20 million in funding for youth-led projects. A new Youth Policy Network will also formally involve young people in policymaking and social issues.
