Over 5,000 attend Joo Chiat Road Car-Free Day, first outside Singapore's CBD

On 3 October, Joo Chiat Road was closed to traffic to mark World Car-Free Day, attracting more than 5,000 participants — the first time such an event was held outside the central business district. The initiative signals growing public and government interest in sustainable urban mobility.
