Analysts including Michael Kugelman of the Atlantic Council say that India's decade-old strategy to marginalise Pakistan on the world stage 'has backfired in a big way', with New Delhi failing to convince the international community of Pakistani complicity in the Kashmir attack that triggered the conflict, and Trump insisting on more than 30 occasions that he — not bilateral diplomacy — brokered the ceasefire.
